Ms. Rosu joined Stark State College of Technology in August 2004 and has served as Chair for the Department of Information Security and Digital Media since October 2005. In this role, she is responsible for the management, development, and implementation of the College's Information Technology curricula in Information Security and Digital Media: Network Security and Administration, Cyber Security and Computer Forensics, Digital Forensics, Homeland Security Information Technology, 3D Graphics and Animations, Computer Graphic Arts, Digital Photography, Commercial Music, Digital Video and Media Technology, as well as the development and implementation of new dynamic programs that respond to market trends and technological advances in this field of study. As Chair, she also provides leadership and oversight to the department's 9 full-time faculty, 32 adjunct faculty, and approximately 980 students. Since assuming this role, Ms. Rosu has developed strategic enrollment growth and student retention plans generating 5%-11% in annual enrollment growth and increased student retention to 94% during the spring 2008 semester.
Ms. Rosu currently holds a Master of Science in Multimedia from Duquesne University; and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Robert Morris University and she is a PhD candidate in Applied Management and Decision Science at Walden University. She is also being accepted to Oxford University to pursue a post graduate certificate in software and systems security. Ms. Rosu also holds a Homeland Security Level V certification and other security and ethical hacking certifications. Ms. Rosu is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute and the Oxford Round Table. She is married to Eugene Rosu.
