Jim Arcara has 30 years of experience predominantly in operations and information technology. Prior to joining Goldfarb Properties where he serves as Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Arcara was a Principal at Phoenix Capital Partners, LLC and was responsible for I.T. and for the operations of a portfolio of Class A Office Buildings. Jim served as Director of Information Technology at MAXX Properties – a large owner of commercial and multi-family properties with operations in eight states. Mr. Arcara was responsible for the operation of multiple data centers and enterprise-wide YARDI Property Management (ERP) software which was utilized to manage operations at both the property level and on a portfolio basis, from acquisition through disposition.
Prior to joining MAXX Properties, Mr. Arcara was the Director of Information Technology and Advisor to the Board of Directors at Alinabal, Inc. where he had accountability for information technology used by the manufacturer for global operations. Jim has led transformational initiatives and large scale projects in the USA and overseas. His responsibilities have included selection through implementation of many systems ranging from Enterprise-Wide multi-site ERP, manufacturing, quality, financial, asset management, real estate property management as well as other systems from planning through execution.
Mr. Arcara is a seasoned I.T executive with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, people, process, technology and the I.T. checkbook. His responsibilities have included operating budgets, capital improvement programs, databases, LAN, WAN, web based, networks, I.T. Security and all layers of information technology from the design and construction of Data Centers to end use customer care. Earlier in his career, Mr. Arcara worked at such companies as Materials Research Corporation (a division of SONY) – where he implemented ERP applications and systems in the USA and Japan, PepsiCo, TORK Inc. and General Data Comm.
Mr. Arcara is a graduate of Iona College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Information Systems. In addition, he received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Hagan School of Business of Iona College. Jim has spoken at ASQ and APICS events and holds a CHS-III certification.
