Michael G. Oehler

D.Min., CMAS, CAS-PSM, CHS-III, CMC, IAC

Dr. Michael Oehler is a faculty member at the Washington, D.C. Metro area-based Los Alamos Technical Associates Global Institute for Security & Training (LATA GIST), as well as LATA GIST’s Program Coordinator, and a LATA Proposal Developer and Consultant. He is an Editorial Board Member for Inside Homeland Security Magazine (IHS) published by the ABCHS (since 2011), and a Board Member on the American Board for Intelligence Analysts (ABIA) (since 2013). Michael has been educated/trained in four countries: USA, England, Australia and Japan, and has 30+ years international experience involving 25 nations in various areas of safety/security, conflict management, intercultural communication and education/training. He is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the World (2007 edition onwards) & Marquis Who’s Who in America (from 2009 edition onwards). He presently holds the following security-related certifications:

  • Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CMAS)
  • Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist - Physical Security Manager (CAS-PSM)
  • Certified in Homeland Security Level III (CHS-III)
  • Certified Master Chaplain (Homeland Security) (CMC)
  • Intelligence Analyst Certified (IAC)
