Dr. Don Howe is a Certified Biblical Counselor and Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas who specializes in biblical and spiritual counseling. Dr. Howe helps people in mental, physical, spiritual, and relationship areas, specializing in spiritual abuse caused by religious leaders to provide a safe place for pastors, church leaders, and others to discuss their situations. Dr. Howe has worked with pastors and others who have addictions, abusive marriages or relationships, grief, and guilt. Dr. Howe has over 42 years of experience in the mental health field and worked for 33 years as a registered nurse in county, state, and federal health care facilities. Currently, Dr. Howe works for the Veterans Administration in Texas assisting vets with addictions. Dr. Howe has worked in county and state correctional mental health departments and has understanding of how demeaning the correctional system can be. He is a certified biblical counselor by the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is also a Certified Master Chaplain and CHS-IV by the American Board for Certification of Homeland Security. He volunteers as a chaplain for the TX DPS and Victim Relief Ministries, assisting police officers, their families, and victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Howe received his PhD from Therapoun University in Biblical Counseling and his dissertation dealt with cults, spiritual abuse, and abusive leadership. He finished a DCC degree from Southwestern Bible College and Seminary in Christian Psychology, and Doctorate in Theology (ThD) in Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary. He has numerous certificates in ministry, counseling, and CISM. He currently serves his country as member of the CAP-USAF Civil Air Patrol in Texas in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM).
