Sherman Copeland is a Master At Arms, Petty Officer First, Enlisted Surface/ Enlisted Air Warfare qualified for the United States Navy. He is currently stationed at Naval Air Facility Atsugi. He is one of four Sectional Security Supervisors for the Operations Division of the Security Department. He supervises, manages and trains 34 Naval Security Police, 60 Auxiliary Security Force (ASF) and 12 Japanese Security Guard Personnel. He is responsible for maintaining, operating services/materiel and provide other logistic support to Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW 5), Helicopter Support Squadron 51 (HSL 51), tenant commands and other units assigned to the Western Pacific. During his 18 years of honorable service to his nation, he has served aboard the USS Niagara Falls (AFS-3), USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), and USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Sherman has recently become certified as Homeland Security Specialist Levels IV and V. Additionally he has recently earned Master of Science in Intelligence Management with Henley-Putnam University.
