Howard Weisman’s combined law enforcement and security management experience has spanned more than 25 years. He started his career in hospital and contract security management, and then served as a Police Officer/Detective with the Montgomery County Police Department (Maryland), in several specialized units before honorably retiring on a service related injury.
Howard then began consulting on numerous protective security details. He provided direction to these details in the areas of vulnerability assessments, risk reduction, travel security, crisis management and mitigation. He has developed, implemented, and directed comprehensive security programs for facilities across the United States and for international staff stationed abroad.
He has been responsible for conducting security training, table-top exercises, employee awareness assemblies, and emergency response planning exercises. Additionally, as a subject matter expert, Howard has presented numerous lectures, instructional programs, and training both to peers as well as the general public in various security, law enforcement, and emergency response forums.
Howard has been designated as a Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist by the Anti- Terrorism Accreditation Board (ATAB), Certified Institutional Protection Manager by the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection (IFCPP) and is Certified in Homeland Security-Level V by The American Board for Certification in Homeland Security as well as being a Board Member, The American Board for Certification in Dignitary and Executive Protection.
